We are currently seeking a Software Developer who will play a key role in advancing and expanding our CORE software suite. In this position, you will have the responsibility of designing and implementing innovative features for desktop applications, primarily using C# .NET. This role offers a dynamic mix of independent tasks and collaborative efforts within a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a small team to strategize development and design approaches, enhancing existing CORE solutions and introducing new, innovative applications.
- Document the development process through presentations, diagrams, and other suitable mediums.
- Collaborate with the QA team to comprehend customer expectations and use cases.
- Work alongside QA to identify and resolve any issues or glitches that arise from new developments.
- Assist in creating and maintaining customer support documentation.
- Contribute to specialized custom development projects outside the CORE platform, addressing specific customer needs.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of programming experience, using C# or similar programming languages (willingness to learn/transition to C# from languages like Java, C, C is essential).
- Preferred experience with Desktop Applications.
- Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Azure DevOps/TFS (GitHub, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Advantageous to have experience with web development tools (ASP.net, JavaScript, etc.).
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Eagerness to acquire new skills and adapt to emerging technologies as needed.
- Background in linear algebra or engineering is a plus.
- Ability to provide realistic time estimates and meet deadlines.
- Strong initiative to take ownership of features and solutions, working independently to meet acceptance criteria.
